Maine’s Cultural Affairs Council (CAC) is a public-private partnership, established in law, of five state government agencies and two statewide private nonprofits. The CAC seeks to improve the communication, collaboration and coordination of cultural activities and initiatives across Maine. The CAC creates a forum for interagency planning, and works jointly to develop cultural resources, programs, and projects by serving as a liaison for interaction among cultural organizations in Maine.
